Paper Trading on Webull
To help users become acquainted with Webull and refine their investment strategies, we offer a paper trading feature and host various paper trading competitions. This feature allows you to engage in simulated trading using virtual funds. Note that paper trading is purely a simulation, and no real money can be transferred to or from the paper trading account.
Here are some distinctions in order executions:
– Paper trades are executed based on the most recent real-time price rather than bid and ask prices.
– Orders are fulfilled as soon as the price matches, irrespective of the volume.
– For a buy order, execution occurs at your price or better if the latest price is lower than your price.
– For a sell order, execution occurs at your price or better if the latest price is higher than your price.
In addition to execution differences, please note:
– Only market and limit orders are supported for paper trading.
– The buying power in a paper trading account is determined by the cash balance minus any losses from short positions.
