Autire, the developer of a cloud-based software platform that helps certified public accountant (CPA) companies perform employee benefit plan (EBP) audits, has secured investment from private equity firm Serent Capital.
The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
Developed by practicing CPAs, AI-powered Autire is designed as a centralised, technology-enabled platform to help CPA companies manage EBP audits and automate key workflows.
The tool unites workflow tools, automated data handling and structured documentation support for retirement plan audits, including 401(k), 403(b) and employee stock ownership plan arrangements.
The platform is intended to help companies standardise audit work, reduce manual administrative tasks and support a more standardised audit methodology.
Serent Capital partner Stewart Lynn said: “EBP audits sit at the intersection of regulatory complexity and operational intensity.
“Based on Serent’s thematic work, we identified Autire as one of the true innovators in this market.
“In an industry historically dependent on manual processes, Autire has combined AI and technology with deep specialised knowledge to drive impressive efficiency and strong outcomes for its customers.”
Autire confirmed the investment in a LinkedIn post.
“We are excited to announce our partnership with Serent Capital as we enter our next phase of growth. This milestone is a strong vote of confidence in our vision and the work our team is doing every day,” it said in the post.
The collaboration will enable Autire to work with Serent’s Growth Team on initiatives covering AI and product enhancement, commercial strategy, and longer-term strategic priorities of the company.
Autire founder and CEO Brian Price said: “We were looking for a partner who understands vertical software and respects the importance of building alongside practitioners.
“Serent brings that experience, along with operational support that will help us scale thoughtfully.”
“Autire secures investment from Serent Capital to scale EBP audits” was originally created and published by International Accounting Bulletin, a GlobalData owned brand.
