Velo3D Inc. (NASDAQ:VELO) is one of the best performing NASDAQ stocks according to Wall Street analysts. On March 30, Velo3D was awarded a $9.8 million, 5-year contract to support the Defense Logistics Agency’s Joint Additive Manufacturing Acceptability/JAMA Pilot Parts Program. This agreement establishes a streamlined procurement pathway for the US military to acquire metal components produced through additive manufacturing.

The initiative aims to enhance supply chain responsiveness across the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Space Force. Velo3D Inc. (NASDAQ:VELO) will use its Laser Powder Bed Fusion technology and Rapid Production Solution framework to manufacture complex metal parts. These efforts are specifically targeted at addressing long lead times, domestic supplier shortages, and the obsolescence of components in legacy military systems.

By establishing repeatable technical qualifications, the program seeks to integrate advanced manufacturing directly into operational sustainment. Velo3D’s Sapphire printers, which are assembled in the US, allow for the production of large-scale parts up to one meter in height. The technology includes specialized monitoring to ensure part quality and repeatability across its fleet.
